Reason for my Endorsement: Leake is running unopposed. She is qualified and takes a leadership role in addressing both housing and veterans’ issues .

Leake is an associate at the Law Offices of Leake & Stokes in Asheville. She is a third-generation attorney, who has both a civil and criminal practice and is a community leader.
Leake graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. Degree in Economics and a minor in Journalism and Mass Communication. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from West Virginia University College of Law. While in West Virginia, she supported the West Virginia University College of Law’s Veteran’s Advocacy Clinic as a student attorney. She currently serves on Community Housing Coalition’s Board of Directors.
In August, Governor Roy Cooper appointed Leake to serve as District Court Judge in Judicial District 35, serving Avery, Madison, Mitchell, Watauga and Yancey counties. Leake will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Hal Harrison.
